SSB 2011 First Quarter Performance Meeting (QPM)
Sabah Softwoods Berhad's (SSB) CEO Hattah Ja'afar convened a meeting with all SSB's senior officers at Shangri-La's Rasa Ria Resort, Dalit Bay, Kota Kinabalu on 29th April 2011. The meeting was arranged specifically as an avenue for mutual aspiration and concerns for the progress of the Company. As of March 2011, SSB performance was very much above target. In view of favourable oil palm performance, in particular, SSB may exceed the targeted production for 2011. Brumas Estate was congratulated for being conferred “Ladang Bahagia Award 2011” in the recent Malaysia Labour Day Celebration. SSB will further upgrade its standard by acquiring for Mill Award in the next two years. The meeting reached a consensus that the Company will have to achieve : improvement in crop quality to ensure sustainability; allocation of 500 hectares land for cattle farming grazing area; Accacia Mangium planting on approximately 15,000-18,000 hectares area to cater for Chipmill to operate at its capacity; Timber Operations to practice prudent financial management; Marketing & Trade Division to apply export quota for Crude Palm Oil (CPO) and Mobile Chipper to be operational by July 2011. CEO Hattah Ja'afar also reminded everyone in the group to avoid attitude of complacency and continuously give positive contribution for the growth of the Company. A friendly golf tournament was held on the following day at Dalit Golf Club. It was participated by the CEO and other SSB's senior officers. |
